Management Coaching
In today's ultra-fast-paced business
environment, many professionals feel as if they're caught in a time
trap—they have too much to do in too little time. They feel rushed and
overextended. Some feel guilty because they’re so busy that they
often drop the ball or fail to perform certain important activities, in
particular, activities needed to bring in more business.
The time trap is nothing new—Lewis Carroll wrote the following passage
over 130 years ago!
"Now, here you see, it takes all the
running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get
somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that."
- The Red Queen in Lewis Carroll's Through
the Looking Glass, published in 1871
In any business, time is one of your
most important finite resources. How you use it can make the difference
between success and mediocrity.
One of the most common outcomes of my work with clients is improving
their time management. There are several time management strategies
that work for different people, depending on the situation. For most
people, the answer is not working harder, but changing their habits.
The bottom line is that to improve time management you must change what
you do, or when and how you do it. In business coaching, we take a
critical look at your priorities and exactly how you spend your time.
Whenever possible, I work with clients to delegate anything and
everything that falls outside of their highest skill set. Most clients
make significant strides in their time management skills within the
first month of coaching.
To discuss whether coaching may benefit you or your company, please contact me. If you think now's not a
good time because you're too busy, it may be just the right time!
